This log cabin circa 1840, was moved from a Germanic settlement in Hanover, PA by Salvagewrights Ltd. The original logs are White Oak and Chestnut with replacementspanner logs from a barn in the Shenandoahvalley. Craig Jacobs, owner of Salvagewrights, and Dan Spear, of Spear Builders, have a long history and passion of bringing these antique and historic structures back to life. Antique elements in the cabin range from period doors on the main floor to a hand-crankcreamer for a vanity bowl. There are Virginia hardwood floors throughout and in the basement a bar from the Elks Club, circa 1950, with cigarette burns and many stories it could tell. This cabin is a beautifulcombinationof reclaimedmaterials and modern finishes.
